Day 1 – Siem Reap Sightseeing
After pick up from the airport and transfer to your hotel by your private guide and driver visit the Angkor National Museum and go on a Sightseeing Tour around town. Dinner will be at a local restaurant and stay overnight at your hotel.
Day 2 - Angkor Wat & Angkor Thom
Get up early to see the sun rise over Angkor Wat and then spend the morning exploring this magnificent temple complex and visiting Ta Prohm, the temple with the gigantic tree roots on the structure. After a local lunch visit Angkor Thom to experience the beauty of the ancient 12th century capital which includes the Bayon Temple (Temple of Smiles), The Elephants Terrace and the Royal Enclosure. Dinner will be at a local restaurant and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 3 – Countryside Temple Tour
This day will take you into the typical Khmer countryside to visit the Banteay Srei temple, the landmine museum and the East Mebon temple. Lunch will be at a local restaurant and in the afternoon you can explore the well preserved Preah Khan temple complex. You will finish the day on top of Phnom Bakheng to view the sunset and have dinner at a local restaurant & overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 4 – Temples & Local Art and Craft
In the morning you will visit the impressive Roulous Temple group, which pre-dates many of the Angkor temples. After lunch there is time for shopping at the local markets and visiting the Artisan Angkor Art School to learn about traditional Khmer woodwork, painting and silver & gold plating as well as silk production.
Day 5 – Adventurous Temple & Floating Village Trip
Today is an adventurous day, with a visit to the remote Beng Mealea Temple which is dominated by jungle, with trees, vines and roots all over the structure. Reaching the centre requires some climbing over collapsed lintels and walls. After a picnic lunch jump on a boat for a cruise on the Tonle Sap lake and visit remote floating villages to experience local village life. Dinner and overnight stay in Siem Reap.
Day 6 – Siem Reap to Battambang
Depart Siem Reap and drive to Battambang. After lunch tour around town visiting Ta Dambong Kra Nhong and the King’s Residence Palace. Dinner at a local restaurant and stay in your hotel.
Day 7 – Exploring Battambang
Drive along the Sangker river to Wat Slaket pagoda, where the provincial Buddhist patriarch resides. Soak up Cambodian culture with a visit to an ancient Khmer house, see how rice paper is produced, go to a market where Prahoc (Cambodian fish paste) is made and visit a centre that supports 30 orphans and trafficking victims as well as educates more than 1,200 pupils. Finish your day at Phnom Banon on top of a hill to enjoy the magnificent view of the surrounding plains until sunset.
Day 8 – Battambang to Phnom Penh
See more of Battambang by visiting local villages and taking the bamboo train. Then depart for Phnom Penh by private minivan. The trip to Phnom Penh will take around 6 hours. Dinner at a restaurant in Phnom Penh and stay at your hotel.
Day 9 – Exploring Phnom Penh
In the morning visit S-21 Prison (Toul Sleng Genocide Museum) and Cheung Ek Killing Field and get a full understanding of the impact the Khmer Rouge has had. After lunch at a local restaurant tour the city, visiting the Independence Monument, Koh Pick and some of the beautiful French colonial buildings including the Post Office, National Library and Phnom Penh Municipal Hall. After a boat cruise on the Tonle Sap, have dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 10 – Phnom Penh Special Tour
Visit the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda and the National Museum and have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon take a cyclo tour to Wat Phnom and the Central Market and make your way back to your hotel on the road along the river. Dinner at a local restaurant and stay at your hotel.
Day 11 – Phnom Penh to Kratie
Travel North East to the provincial city of Kompong Cham with a stop in Skuon to sample the local delicacy of deep fried tarantula and a visit to Wat Nokor. After lunch in Kompong Cham we continue along the river, through the old river port of Chhlong to Kratie. Dinner in a local restaurant and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 12 – Dolphin Watching Rattanakiri
Leave for Kampi and take a private boat cruise on the mighty Mekong river to look for the rare river dolphins. Sightings are common, although it is easier to see the dolphins in the shallow waters of the dry season than in the swollen river of the wet season. After the cruise depart to the north for Ban Lung and enjoy the refreshing waters of the beautiful crater lake of Yeak Loam amid the lush jungle. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 13 - Rattanakiri Forest Walk
Take a guided forest walk in this unspoilt area, through the black basalt lava fields and local forests, see caves and waterfalls and learn about the history of the area and the flora and fauna of the region as well as the different minority people that live here. In the afternoon continue your walk on the banks of the San river towards the town of Voen Sai through pristine stretches of forest. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 14 – Rattanakiri to Phnom Penh
Today you will make your way back to Phnom Penh after some leisure time in the morning. The trip to Phnom Penh takes around 9 hours. Dinner at a local restaurant and stay at your hotel.
Day 15 – Phnom Penh to Kampot & Kep
Depart Phnom Penh to visit Kampot & Kep, on the south coast of Cambodia where you will get a taste of the famous Kampot crab in a local restaurant for lunch. After lunch make your way to Kep, check into your hotel and relax at the beach. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 16 – Bokor Mountain Tour
Today spend the full day touring Bokor mountain and its beautiful surroundings and learn about the history of this site. You will be able to admire the beautiful view from the former king’s residence and visit the ghost town. Lunch will be at the site and in the afternoon you will visit the PoPok Vil waterfalls. Dinner will be back in Kep and stay at your hotel.
Day 17 – Rabbit Island
Take a private boat to Rabbit Island (Koh Tunsay), which is located 4.5km south-east of Kep. Koh Tunsay is a natural resort with white sand beaches and shallow water which makes it an excellent location for relaxing and swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving. In the late afternoon make your way back to Kep for dinner and stay at your hotel.
Day 18 – Kep to Sihanoukville
In the early morning depart from Kep to Sihanoukville by private minivan. After lunch in Sihanoukville and checking into your hotel, relax at the beach and take in the sights around town. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.
Day 19 – Back to Phnom Penh
After breakfast at your hotel spend some time at leisure until it is time to leave Sihanoukville for Phnom Penh and your departure flight home or to your next destination.
